Deep Recovery for your hands: our new hand bath

Every climber knows the feeling: after an intense training session, your fingers are irritated, your tendons are tight, your forearms are burning – and yet you want to get back on the wall as soon as possible. That’s exactly why we developed the KletterRetter Deep Recovery Hand Bath, a targeted recovery aid for stressed hands, tendons and muscles.

Why we developed Deep Recovery

At KletterRetter, we develop our products based on our own experience. We know what overuse feels like, and we know that recovery is just as important as training. After many conversations with climbing doctors, therapists and athletes, it became clear: there was a need for an easy-to-use product that effectively supports hand recovery without medical complexity, but with a noticeable feel-good effect.

This led to the creation of the Deep Recovery Hand Bath, inspired by centuries-old balneotherapy with sulphur baths, further developed for the needs of modern climbers.

The power of sulphur

Sulphur is one of the oldest known care ingredients and has been used for centuries in wellness and spa treatments. Traditionally, sulphur is considered soothing for the skin, muscles and joints. Studies show that sulphur baths can stimulate circulation and support well-being after physical exertion.

These properties make sulphur ideal for anyone who wants to do something good for their hands after climbing or training.

How the hand bath works

For one application, dissolve about 10 ml of Deep Recovery in 1–2 litres of warm water (35–38 °C). During the bath, the natural sulphur compounds unfold their pleasant and beneficial effect on the skin and muscles.

The result:

  • Relaxes stressed hands

  • Supports natural recovery after exertion

  • Promotes circulation and well-being

  • Cares for the skin and helps reduce tension

Thanks to its high concentration, Deep Recovery is particularly efficient and effective, while being vegan, skin-friendly and free from known side effects.

Who is it suitable for?

The Deep Recovery Hand Bath is suitable for anyone who climbs, trains regularly, or works a lot with their hands. It’s especially helpful when your hands feel tight or tired after intense sessions, or when you simply want to give them some recovery time.

Even if you don’t have any acute issues, taking a regular hand bath (e.g. 2–3 times per week) can help keep your hands supple and in good shape over the long term.

Application and tips

  • Duration: 10–20 minutes

  • After the bath: Do not rinse your hands immediately – allow the fine sulphur film to absorb

  • Afterwards, rest or go to sleep – ideal in the evening after a climbing session

Conclusion

The KletterRetter Deep Recovery Hand Bath is our answer to the increasing strain climbers put on their hands. It combines traditional care with a modern, vegan formulation, produced to pharmaceutical quality standards and specially designed for climbers.

Climb more. Recover better.
